Nekta, the beginnings

375ml_MalaysiaNekta is an established leader in the New Zealand Kiwifruit drinks range and we export to more than 15 different countries around the world.

Nekta initially began as a company producing dairy free desserts, in the form of NektaCreme which had both softserve and hardserve products.

Softserve was aimed at the retail sector with the likes of frosty boy and Wendy's sundaes and other retail outlets that had a softserve machine on their premises.

The Hardserve product was for the take home market, so the focus was in the Supermarket freezers.

It wasn't until 1997 that the kiwifruit juice came about, with our first production of juice occuring in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.  Where the sales of Nekta Liquid Kiwifruit took off like a rocket.  It was not long before we had covered the country in Nekta's Kiwifruit Juice.  With the popularity of the kiwifruit juice in Malaysia, it was only time that Nekta Liquid kiwifruit juice was to be produced and launched in New Zealand.  and ever since Nekta has grown from strength to strength and increasing the range to what we have now
